Starbucks approached us to create a strategic local marketing plan for five under-performing locations in downtown Los Angeles. Our research discovered that the primary market for each unit was located in the high-rise directly above it. So we developed unique distribution plans for each building, coupled with a holiday promotion.
In one building, distribution went directly to all incoming vehicles. In another, the message was included with all employee paychecks. Still other tenants were sent direct mail. The results met and exceeded the objectives Starbucks desired.
